12 Angry Men – Netflix UK
Sidney Lumet‘s compelling 1957 American drama is now available on Netflix UK. This is simply one of the best films ever made, in no small part due to the outstanding acting by Lee J Cobb, Henry Fonda, and Joseph Sweeney, amongst others. The action follows a group of jurors deliberating a murder case which carries the death penalty, and the filming and direction presents a compelling portrayal of the claustrophobic and tense drama of the jury room while developing the individual characters through their arguments. There was a horrible remake of this film in the 90s, but this is the version to watch and it will never be bettered. Don’t miss it!
